MWS-ST/SR-2WG Micro-Gunn consists of a pair of transmitting and receiving antennas, connected to separate controllers by circular wave guide tubing. The detection signal outputs when the microwave beam is reflected by the slab/strip into the receiving antenna.

Submersible Level Transmitter

submersible-level-transmitterSemrad Pty Ltd distributes the NivoPress submersible hydrostatic level transmitter in Australia, along with various level switches such as the Nivofloat and NivoMag, level transmitters including EchoTrek and LabkoMax, foam controllers, safety systems, displays and process controllers.

The NivoPress is a two-wire level transmitter consisting of a probe and a special breathing cable containing a capillary pipe and a stress resistant inlet. The probe consists of a stainless steel cartridge with a membrane at the end. It works by measuring the pressure difference between the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid head above the probe and the actual atmospheric pressure. This is then converted into a 4 to 20mA output signal. The cable material is polyurethane.

The device can operate between temperatures of -10° to +60°C, with a linearity of <0.2%. It features a range of up to 200 metres, reverse polarity protection, accuracy of 0.5% and optional lightning protection.

Applications

This submersible hydrostatic level transmitter can be applied to clean or faintly chemically contaminated liquids in boreholes, open reservoirs and tanks. It is easy to install in existing facilities and is especially recommended for monitoring and controlling submersible pumps.

Bulk Solid Level Switches

Solid Level SwitchBulk solids are an assembly of solid particles that is large enough for the statistical mean of any property to be independent of the number of particles. A powder is a dry, bulk solid, as it is composed or a large number of fine particles that may flow when shaken. The level of bulk solids in a given area can be measured using a vibration rod level switch.

Semrad’s NivoCONT R-200 series of vibration rods are considered to be one of the most reliable level switching devices. They have the advantage of robustness, self-cleaning for most mediums through vibration, pressure and corrosion resistance, and a great life span. They are the optimum solution for single point level switching in free flowing solids.

The way it works it the vibration rod is energised and kept in resonance by an electronic circuit. When covered by material the damping of the vibration is detected by the electronics, and after a built-in delay, it initiates the switching of the output relay. This series is specifically designed for providing high or low level switching signals in silos or bins with free flowing granular materials or powders with a bulk density of 50kg/m³ or more.

 

Liquid Level Switches

NivoSwitchSemrad’s NivoSWITCH series include a range of vibration fork level switches for liquids and light granules. These level switches can be used in arduous conditions because of its unique signal processing that combines frequency and amplitude sensing for excellent performance. So extreme application conditions such as vibrating vessels or turbulent liquid/powder surfaces, are simply routine tasks for these vibration fork level switches.

The series features no moving parts, self-cleaning in most mediums, solid rod extension up to 3m, stainless steel or Alu-cast housing, selectable sensitivity, and high or low fail-safe mode. They can be used in most liquids with a maximum of 10 000 mm2/s viscosity, even in corrosive, thick and turbulent liquids, as well as powders with a minimum density of 0.01 kg/dm³.
