MWS-ST/SR-2WG Micro-Gunn
MWS-ST/SR-2WG Micro-Gunn producded by Semrad Pty Ltd was developed as a substitution for infrared hot metal detectors (HMD), laser/optical barriers and gamma ray sensors for product tracking in steel mills.
MWS-ST/SR-2WG Micro-Gunn consists of a pair of transmitting and receiving antennas, connected to separate controllers by circular wave guide tubing. The detection signal outputs when the microwave beam is reflected by the slab/strip into the receiving antenna.

Advantages
MWS-ST/SR-2WG Micro-Gunn required no maintenance. It operates flawlessly in high vapor areas (compared to optical and infrared based sensors which do not). It has a high degree of precision and is economical, reliable and a great hazard free solution for product tracking in continuous casting and rolling mills.
Foam Detect and Level Monitor, otherwise known as Charis, have been designed and distributed across Australia by Semrad Pty Ltd since 1994.
Foam Detect and Level Monitor created by Semrad Pty Ltd are designed uniquely for foam (Please note that some other manufactures simply modify liquid sensors. These sensors will not be as effective)
One of the main problems that can occur with Foam Detect and Level Monitors is that they foul due to a buildup of sticky covering on the sensor. Semrad Pty Ltd have overcome this problem in their design by installing an individual IMA Sensing® technology which prevents the sensors from fouling even when there is a buildup of foam and product.
Foam Detect and Level Monitor can be used with biotech, food, sugar, brewing, wastewater, effluent treatment and chemicals. They have a high accuracy rate and a high pressure and temperature range.
Submersible Level Transmitter
Semrad Pty Ltd distributes the NivoPress submersible hydrostatic level transmitter in Australia, along with various level switches such as the Nivofloat and NivoMag, level transmitters including EchoTrek and LabkoMax, foam controllers, safety systems, displays and process controllers.
The NivoPress is a two-wire level transmitter consisting of a probe and a special breathing cable containing a capillary pipe and a stress resistant inlet. The probe consists of a stainless steel cartridge with a membrane at the end. It works by measuring the pressure difference between the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid head above the probe and the actual atmospheric pressure. This is then converted into a 4 to 20mA output signal. The cable material is polyurethane.
The device can operate between temperatures of -10° to +60°C, with a linearity of <0.2%. It features a range of up to 200 metres, reverse polarity protection, accuracy of 0.5% and optional lightning protection.
Applications
This submersible hydrostatic level transmitter can be applied to clean or faintly chemically contaminated liquids in boreholes, open reservoirs and tanks. It is easy to install in existing facilities and is especially recommended for monitoring and controlling submersible pumps.
